Electric Blue 002

Ironically, Electric Blue 002 was an adventure movie unreleted to Electric Blue.

This post however is completely related to the last.

Where did I leave you? Ah, yes – I was testing the new Led strip holder.

The first one worked, but needed improvement – because the LEDs are covered in silicone it was able to slide in the holder and flattened out the shape a bit. Plus I had to glue the LEDs in which was a pain.

For the next one I made little ‘tunnel’ type holders on each track to let me clip the ED into place. Better, but it still slid around enough to flatten out the corners.

The final version just had some little cylinders included to go around at the corners and keep them sharp.

I wanted to see what it would look like properly, so re-cut the shape into the lid/base of the pedal. Did the same again with filling it with resin and popped the new holder into place behind it.
For testing I threw a 3v battery on (from an old ecig), a push switch and a variable resistor (pot).
I have to admit, it looks pretty damn good!

Some different colour LEDs are on the way, and I’m going to adapt it for a normal size (1590b) pedal box.

See you in a few days!
